# Focus BC opens its Office to JUNITEC, the Junior Enterprise of Técnico

A few weeks ago, our office was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed [JUNITEC](https://junitec.pt/en/home-en/), the Junior Enterprise of Instituto Superior Técnico, for a short visit. [Since partnering last May](https://www.focus-bc.com/blog/focus-bc-partnership-junitec/ "Focus BC Partners with Junitec from Técnico Lisboa"), this visit was a celebration of how far our collaboration has come and an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between our teams.

The energy in the room was infectious, with curiosity and creativity sparking meaningful conversations and ideas. It was an afternoon that perfectly captured the spirit of our partnership, reaffirming our shared commitment to **bridging the gap between academic potential and professional innovation.** 

The afternoon kicked off with a warm **welcome and a guided tour of our workspace**, offering JUNITEC a glimpse into the environment behind our work in location intelligence. This was followed by a presentation on our vision, mission, and innovative products, including [Mapify](https://www.mapify.ai/), [City as a Platform](https://www.city-platform.com/), and [Virtual Venue](https://www.virtualvenue-events.com/), highlighting how we transform geospatial data into real-world solutions.

A key highlight of the day was the **career talks**, where Ricardo Francisco, our Chief Technical Officer, Bruno Malveiro, Technical Team Lead, and Vasco Barnabé, Junior Developer, shared their **professional journeys.** They offered valuable insights and advice in an open and relaxed setting, providing students with a unique opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals. These conversations sparked meaningful exchanges, giving the students a chance to ask questions, gain perspectives on the industry, and explore potential career paths in a dynamic and approachable environment.

We then turned the focus to **Mapify**, our real-time data no-code platform, which Junitec students **have free access** to as part of our partnership. The session began with an introduction to its capabilities, followed by a live demonstration of Mapify.

The day ended with a **casual networking session** over pizza and drinks. There were lots of laughs, group photos, and conversations that hinted at future collaborations. It was the perfect way to wind down.

This partnership has already proven to be immensely rewarding, and we’re excited about the journey ahead. **Thank you JUNITEC** for spending your afternoon with us, it was truly a memorable day.
