# Smart Cities by Google Cloud in Faro

In order to present transformative solutions to Portuguese cities, Google Cloud reached out to us and Devoteam G Cloud to start a multi-city event named Cidades Inteligentes by Google Cloud (“Smart Cities” by Google Cloud).

The event kicked off in Faro, on March 24th. Our Managing Partner, Vasco Pinheiro, was there to present [City as a Platform](https://www.city-platform.com/ "City as a Platform"), our product for [Google](https://www.focus-bc.com/google/ "Google") Urban Intelligence with the goal of supporting Municipal Councils on a path to become more digital and sustainable.

[City as a Platform](https://www.city-platform.com/) gives cities full control and visualization over their territorial planning and services management across its public services and departments. It provides the possibility to extend the reach and involve its own citizens with more transparency.
The best way to understand more about City as a Platform is to explore our case studies regarding the Municipal Councils of [Lisboa](https://www.focus-bc.com/case-studies/lisbon-traffic-closures-management-platform/ "Lisbon Traffic Closures Management Platform"), [Lagos](https://www.focus-bc.com/case-studies/urban-planning-management-platform/ "Urban Planning and Management Platform") and [Estrela](https://www.focus-bc.com/case-studies/estrela-parish-geoestrela-incident-management/ "GeoEstrela Incident Management Platform in Estrela Parish"), as well as companies such as [Infralobo](https://www.focus-bc.com/case-studies/infralobo-smart-resort-platform/ "Infralobo Smart Resort Management Platform") and [GIRA](https://www.focus-bc.com/case-studies/gira-bike-realtime-platform-lisbon/ "GIRA Lisbon Real-Time Bike Sharing Platform").

Come meet us at the next Cidades Inteligentes events, all over Portugal.
