Important location requirement
This is a hybrid role based in Portugal. Applicants must already be resident in Portugal and able to attend regular in-person meetings and work sessions in the Lisbon area. Candidates based in Greater Lisbon will be preferred.
This role is not open to fully remote applicants based outside Portugal.
Role Overview
We are looking for a QA Tester / Product Quality Assurance professional to support the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality digital platforms across our products and customer projects.
You will work closely with software engineers, project managers, GIS specialists, designers, and product teams to validate new releases, identify issues, and ensure smooth deployments across platforms such as Virtual Venue, Mapify, and City as a Platform.
Our products are used by organizations including UEFA, FIFA, AFC Asian Cup, municipalities, and large-scale event operators where operational reliability and user experience are critical.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about improving product quality and delivery processes.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation procedures
Execute manual testing across web and operational platforms
Validate new releases before deployment
Identify, document, and track bugs and platform issues
Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
Support regression, functional, integration, and usability testing
Validate operational workflows and real-time platform functionalities
Participate in release planning and quality assurance processes
Help improve QA methodologies and testing standards
Support customer issue investigations and troubleshooting activities
Contribute to product stability, performance, and user experience improvements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across projects and products
Requirements
Current residence in Portugal is required; residence in the Greater Lisbon area is preferred
Availability to work in a hybrid model, including regular in-person meetings, training sessions, and project work in the Lisbon area
Experience in software testing or quality assurance
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Experience creating test plans and test documentation
Ability to identify, reproduce, and clearly document issues
Understanding of web applications and software delivery workflows
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams
Good written and spoken English
Nice to Have
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Experience testing operational or real-time platforms
Knowledge of APIs and backend testing concepts
Experience with GIS or mapping platforms
Understanding of agile development methodologies
Experience with automated testing tools
Interest in sports technology, smart cities, or operational systems
