Inside Our 2025 Kick-Off in Óbidos

Earlier this month, between March 13 and 15, the Focus BC team came together in the enchanting town of Óbidos for our much-anticipated 2025 Kick-Off. Known for its medieval charm and cobbled streets, it was the perfect setting for three energizing days of connection, reflection and planning for the year ahead.

It wasn’t just about launching into new challenges. It was also a celebration of growth. With our team now expanded to 24 talented professionals, this year’s gathering gave us the incredible opportunity to welcome even more amazing women into Focus BC 👏 

And the memories made? Just too good not to share. So here’s a peek into our 2025 Kick-Off.

Even with a bit of chill in the air, we were lucky to enjoy three beautiful sunny days in Óbidos. Our home for the Kick-Off was Bom Sucesso Resort, a stunning spot where bold architecture meets lush green landscapes, creating the perfect atmosphere to pause and connect.

After an incredible lunch at the resort, we officially kicked off our team meeting. We started by reflecting on some of the key highlights and challenges from the past year before diving into what’s ahead. From defining our strategic goals for 2025 to exploring updates on our City as a Platform and Virtual Venue products. The session brought defined ideas, a clearer vision for our company and products, some exciting hands-on demos and, of course, plenty of laughs along the way.

After the meeting, it was time to loosen up and what better way than with a round of karaoke? Let’s just say we’re now fully convinced that a few of our team members might be hiding star-level stage talent!

We started the next day with a morning yoga class. The perfect way to ease into the day with focus and calm. Held right at Bom Sucesso Resort and surrounded by nature, it gave us a much-needed moment to breathe, reset and get ready for the day ahead.

Then after a delicious lunch, we were ready for the next team-building activity: an escape tower challenge set inside the castle walls. We split into teams, but the mission was the same for everyone: to complete all the challenges and make it out victorious. It was a playful, immersive experience that brought the cultural heritage of Óbidos to life in a truly memorable way.

To wrap things up, some of our team members enjoyed a golf class where we may have found the Focus BC version of Tiger Woods. Others played paddle or chose a calmer morning with a relaxing massage. A fun and fitting end to an unforgettable few days.

Now it’s time to look ahead and make 2025 another standout year for our company, our products, our clients and the incredible team that makes it all happen at Focus BC.
