At Focus BC, the team helps customers define, design, and lead the technical development of large-scale, location intelligence cloud-based solutions targeting real-world applications. We are looking for a solid UI Designer professional with experience in designing web and mobile solutions to help create the future of our core products and customer solutions.

Responsibilities:

​

• You will work with PO and PM to translate product vision, project requirements, and/or user journeys into a world-class UI. If you design it, we will build it.

• Plan and implement new designs, storyboards, and interactive prototypes

• Participate in all product meetings to understand the product, their business goals, and step-by-step objectives

• Communicate with customers to understand their business goals and objectives

• Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centred solutions

• Conduct ongoing user research

Requirements:

 

• Substantial experience in Adobe tools (Adobe XD highly valued) or similar tools, they help you to show us what our teams will be bringing to life

• Strong business and customer value mindset, we want to make a difference in the world

• Must be a team player, we treasure our amazingly friendly work environment

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to discuss and explain design choices

​Nice to Have:

 

• It would be great if, besides the UI skills, you also have some understanding and/or experience getting your hands dirty with some HTML5, CSS 3, and Javascript.

• The icing on the cake:  experience with location-based interfaces, such as layered location data, and map-based interfaces.
