Position Overview

Virtual Venue seeks a highly motivated Sales Manager, with sports event planning and operations experience, to spearhead our global sales strategy, primarily focusing on Europe for National Football Associations, Clubs, and Stadium Owners, and a broader reach to larger sports Federations worldwide, extending beyond football. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a robust sales and business development plan, driving revenue growth, and expanding our market presence within the sports industry and beyond.
Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

Implement the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.

Develop opportunities and market segments, with a focus on European National Football Associations, Clubs, and Stadium Owners.

Expand outreach and engagement to larger sports Federations globally.
Business Development

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the sports industry, including decision-makers at associations, clubs, and stadiums.
Market Research and Analysis

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and product enhancements.
Customer Engagement

Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback for continuous product improvement.

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales Collateral and Marketing

Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials.

Support marketing efforts with valuable market insights and customer feedback.

Qualifications
​

Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)

Sports event planning and operations experience
-
Experience in business development within the sports industry, especially in Europe

Capabilities for networking and relationships with National Football Associations, Clubs, and Stadium Owners are highly desirable

Experience working with larger sports Federations globally is a plus
-
Strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills

Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making

Willingness to travel as needed
-
Know-how and expertise with the VISTA UEFA system is preferred
